SportTracks

Have any of you use this software? http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks/ (check it out)

Coupled with a GPS receiver SportTracks will automatically track the distance, time and pace of your workouts. You’ll be able to take a high level view and track your progress over time, or dive into the details of a specific exercise to analyze your pace, elevation, or heart-rate performance. Activities can be organized into categories, or summarized by location.

Gonna use it later and couple it with my Garmin 405.

Borneo International Marathon - Training Day 1

After much debating whether to run at night during Ramadhan , I decided to do my first Ramadhan run yesterday afternoon just before breaking my fast. I needed this ‘training’ because Jack has started his training last week haha.

It was a rather painful and teribbly slow run because I have not doing my regular run or any form of exercises over a  month. This is due to the fact that of me being officially called a someone’s husband and was off to the moon (click for which moon did I go?!).

So, I plan to follow up Jack’s training with a bit of adjustment to his schedule where for the first week I will do my 3km run and the day after will doing a crosstraining i.e. cycling and maybe during the weekends I will do my long run.

At the moment, I am still try to reduce my weight and my goal to reach at least 80KG by the end of 2008.

My Fast 5KM Run

The theory of resting for 2 days from doing my regular exercises its quite true (thanks Jack for the tip).

I Felt stronger and faster this morning when I did my 5KM run. I managed to run under 32 minutes (31:15 to be exact) which I have a new goal to set - under 30 minutes. For my first 2 KM run I did in 6:02 and 6:07 and the rest are fairly consistent 6:21, 6:20 and 6:21. You can see here ( http://connect.garmin.com/activity/235364) for more info on my heart rates and laps

For the past 4 weeks or so my schedule is full of sports especially on Monday (Morning = Run - AfterWork = Monday 5KM Run with colleagues - Night = Futsal). These exercises keeps me fit and motivated some how. My rest day usually on Saturday or Sunday or very rarely none. The last time I did my long runs was in May (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/134309)which was AWESOME by the way and I need to do more regular longer runs one day but for now I am happy of what I have achieved.

It is all about Garmin Forerunner 405

My Garmin officially arrived last week and later that night I did some test run on how good and accurate 405 was. Below are the screen shots from Garmin Training Center software.

The route was from Kiulap area to where I live.

Since Google Map does not cover the place of where I live - I decided to take my Garmin out running at the El’stadio Hassanal Bolkiah. But before that, let me show you the summary data of my run on that day.

As you can see the GPS Signal Quality is Excellent.

I did a 5KM run in 41:56secs. Not too shabby for fat people like me.

If somebody ask me, is it worth to get the 405? I’ll definitely say YES! or I will say WHY NOT? The bezel soft touch is pretty awesome. Will cover more in my next post.

Teaser to 405

I received a notification card from EMS yesterday and think that my Garmin 405 has landed in Brunei after 2 weeks of waiting. When I arrived at my local post office this morning, I can see a glance of a medium box size and printed REI on it which was brought by a lady to the counter. Yes it is my Garmin!!

The Shoe - AdiZero CS

AdiZero CS is made for elite runners and for everyday training on track and off track. It has a Clima Cool (lighter weight) technology on the upper part which let your feet breath easily while running. It has a minimum cushion that is not recommended for fat people like me =).

Took several photos of the shoe this morning after I had a 4.7KM run with 34:04 mins on the time. My current weight as of today is 95.3 Kg. Kalau karang lapas makan tengahari gerenti naik ke 96 Kg.

Logo for a friend

A friend of mine requested me to do his company’s logo, OMIC Enterprise. OMIC (not sure what it stands for) is a company that supplies electronic semi conductor and test equipment supplier mainly for the Government, Schools, Institution and University.

I think he is one of the successful SME in Brunei. FYI this logo is in low resolutions.
